Different types of flooring tools for different jobs and materials
If one needs to repair, refinish or install flooring, then he requires certain essential flooring tools. There are many different types of flooring tools in the market as there are so many different flooring materials. There are specific tools for working on tiles, laminates, hardwood, and stone. Flooring nailers, nails, flooring staplers are used for tongue and groove flooring.
There are flat bars which can be used to pry up nails and staples. Framing hammers are used if one wants to remove the old, existing flooring. Edge sanders and sanding machine can be used for removing the old finish and giving a clean surface for re- finishing purpose.
Tile tools consist of nippers, hole cutters, grout, adhesives, tile spacers, rotozips and wet saws. Grouter’s float helps to spread the grout around the tiles. Wet saws are used for cutting ceramics, slate, marble, granite, porcelain. This is a specialty saw which has a circular diamond blade which can cut through dense materials and different cuts on tiles are possible through it.
While this saw is working, water is thrown on the tile which prevents over heating of tile or saw. Angled cuts, bevels, curve; everything is possible through a wet saw.
