The thing about childbirth is that you might become a little crazy when it comes to the safety of your newborn. After everything that the two of you went through to obtain this beautiful bundle of joy, no one can blame you for loving it more than anything in the world. But you can’t child proof the entire world around you so you have to make sacrifices here and there.

Be sure to take every precaution in your home before your baby learns how to crawl around. A home with a lot of sharp edges and dangling cords can be hazardous to your newborn baby. But this doesn’t mean you have to tape up every single corner and lock every single cabinet. The baby can’t actually reach a lot of them so you don’t have to worry about those. Also, only take parenting tips from experts and try not to rely on your friends and family when it comes to baby safety because they could easily be wrong about something even if they are right about everything else. Verify everything with a professional before implementing it at home. After all the prenatal care and the nine months of torture, it is understandable that you would want to protect your child from everything. But there is a fine line between protecting and putting your baby in a ball.
