Weather and traffic details are also got with the Garmin 696 device. The Garmin 695 does not give weather and traffic data by you can get alerts on the obstacles. The SafeTaxi software that is loaded has the taxiway data for all the airports in the USA.

This helps the pilot to use the taxiway with confidence by using the Garmin 695 and Garmin 696 device. The Garmin 696 is a bit advanced in that it gives the weather and traffic details too. In both of these devices you get the AOPA directory details so that you can even plan your fueling. Data on the private airports and heliports are also available with the Garmin 695 and Garmin 696 GPS devices.
